Dr. Deniz OKUYUCU / Counsel

Dr. Deniz Okuyucu graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Law at Istanbul University in 2010 and spent one year at the University of Vienna during her undergraduate studies. In 2013, she completed her LL.M. in Commercial and Corporate Law at Queen Mary University of London. Her master’s thesis, titled “Country Assessment: Turkey – Corporate Governance, Stock Exchanges, and the Role of Law,” was published in BATIDER (Banking and Commercial Law Journal), one of Turkey’s most prestigious periodicals. Deniz also conducted a global research project entitled “Comparative Law of World Universities – Turkey’s Legal Ranking.”

She went on to complete her doctoral studies at Istanbul University with a dissertation on “Corporate Social Responsibility of Joint-Stock Companies.” Deniz has practiced law since 2011 and has worked at leading firms in Istanbul throughout her career. She has specialized in a variety of fields—primarily corporate and commercial law, contract law, logistics and transportation law, and insurance law—and has participated in numerous merger & acquisition, restructuring, startup, and investment projects. Additionally, she has advised many domestic and multinational clients in sectors such as aviation, freight, maritime, and insurance.
