Volkan Akbaş received his undergraduate degree from Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Law in 2004 and completed his master’s degree in Economic Law at the same university. He began his career by providing consultancy services to both foreign and domestic capital companies at various law firms. Between 2007 and 2015, Volkan specialized in regulatory and competition law, managing audit, investigation, and exemption processes at leading telecommunications companies in the industry.

As of 2015, he transitioned into a new phase of his career, continuing to offer his expertise and knowledge to clients, particularly in the areas of competition law consultancy, investigation and audit management, compliance work, and legislative strategies. In addition to his consultancy role, Volkan Akbaş is a registered mediator with the Mediation Department of the Ministry of Justice and a member of the Istanbul Bar Association. With his extensive experience and specialization in competition law and Fintech, Volkan Akbaş provides valuable contributions as a consulting attorney at Çivicik Law.
